Professional Code of Conduct
Before joining 90 Seconds, every creator must first agree to abide by the terms and conditions found here.
We take these terms very seriously and recommend that you refer back to the full document to ensure you understand each provision. Below, we have copied the Code of Conduct section for ease of reference.
Code of Professional Conduct
90 Seconds is committed to fostering an environment that is respectful and free from harassment and discrimination against any stakeholder, including creators, brands, employees, and Customers. We do not tolerate harassment of or discrimination against any of our employee(s), customers, or third-party service provider(s). Your conduct impacts our reputation and is a reflection of our brand.
As a Creator Partner, your conduct directly impacts our collective reputation. Whenever you execute a project, attend a meeting, or communicate with a client, you represent both your personal brand and ours. By working with us, you agree to maintain the highest standards of integrity, communication, and visual presentation.
Accordingly, you agree to follow and ensure that all of your personnel (i.e., those who work for you either as employees or subcontractors) will follow a professional level of conduct, including but not limited to:
- Integrity & Standards: Complete each Work Contract and its requirements with integrity and the highest standards of professional conduct.
- Respectful Communication: Treat and communicate with our Customers, their employees, and our employees with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Sobriety: Refrain from performing any Project and/or communicating with our Customer(s) and employees while under the influence of mind-altering substances, including but not limited to drugs or alcohol.
- Gifts & Gratuities: Refrain from requesting or accepting anything of value from our Customers or third-party service providers.
- Non-Solicitation: Refrain from directly or indirectly soliciting any of our Customers for the purpose of securing additional work to the detriment of our business relationship with our Customers.
- Confidentiality: Refrain from discussing the terms of the project for which you have been hired, including terms of compensation, with anyone other than us.
- Personal Presentation: Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance when working on a project.
Virtual Meetings & Client Interaction Standards:
First impressions set the tone for successful client partnerships. During Kick-off Calls and all video meetings, creators are expected to adhere to the following operational practices:
A. Professional Appearance & Dress Code
While formal business attire is rarely required, looking neat, groomed, and smart-casual builds immediate client confidence.
- Acceptable Attire (✅): Clean, presentable shirts (button-ups, polos, or high-quality t-shirts), smart-casual clothing suitable for an in-person client meeting, well-groomed hair, and an overall tidy appearance.
- Prohibited Attire (❌): Pajamas, sleepwear, tank tops, gym wear, ripped or stained clothing, overly casual wear (e.g., hoodies, beachwear), caps, or hats during video calls.
B. Environment & Background Management
Your surrounding environment reflects your attention to detail. Avoid cluttered or distracting spaces during live calls.
- Physical Spaces: Position yourself in front of a neutral, plain, or organized background.
- Digital Fixes: Use a polished, professional virtual backdrop or enable background blur if your physical workspace is not ideal for client interaction.
- Lighting & Framing: Ensure your face is well-lit from the front and clearly visible in the camera frame.
C. Punctuality & Active Engagement
- Be Early: Join video calls at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time.
- Camera Status: Keep your video camera turned ON throughout the duration of the call unless technical issues arise.
- Focus: Stay fully engaged during discussions. Avoid multitasking, as active listening and enthusiasm demonstrate professionalism and build client trust.
Compliance & Enforcement
If you are not able to comply with our Code of Professional Conduct, please notify us and the Client immediately.
Important: You agree that your violation of this Code of Professional Conduct is a material breach of these Terms, which entitles us to terminate these Terms immediately without further reference to you. 90 Seconds does not tolerate even minor infractions of the Creator Code.
